Language, level & background: After having completed a unit describing themselves and others using a variety of adjectives, Introductory Spanish students (level 1A) will learn how to describe what they and others like and do not like to do as well as introduce themselves to our sister school in Spain during this unit. This unit will create a solid foundation from which further cultural learning and exchange can be explored. A variety of learning styles and assessment practices will be utilized to meet the needs of the diverse learners in my class.

- Students will use the verbs gustar and ser as well as linking words to describe themselves and others.
- Students will use their newly acquired vocabulary and grammar skills to describe themselves to and ask questions of our epals in Spain.
- Students will use various technologies to show their mastery of the vocabulary and grammar concepts of this unit as well to interact with Spanish-speaking communities abroad.
